Resurgence Gear is a Canadian motorcycle apparel brand. We make CE-certified motorcycle jeans, jackets, hoodies, shirts, and vests — all built on PEKEV®, our patented protective fibre. Every product is independently certified and ships with D3O® Ghost armour included.

The Canadian store (resurgencegear.ca) is operated by Moto Reloaded Gear Inc., the exclusive authorized distributor of Resurgence Gear products in North America. We are based in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Resurgence Gear products are designed in Canada and manufactured in Pakistan to strict quality and compliance standards. Every garment is CE-certified by Intertek or Satra, two of the world's leading independent testing organizations.

Three things: First, PEKEV® protective fibre is woven into the entire garment — not just Zone 1 impact areas. Most brands only reinforce where testing requires it. Second, the protection is permanent — PEKEV® does not degrade with washing, UV exposure, or chemical contact. Third, every product is CE-certified Class AA or AAA — the two highest ratings under EN 17092-2020. We have no entry-level products.

All Resurgence Gear jeans include D3O® Ghost knee protectors (Level 1, height-adjustable) and D3O® Ghost hip protectors (Level 1). All jackets, hoodies, and shirts include D3O® Ghost shoulder, elbow, and back protectors (Level 1). The Spadina Vest includes a D3O® Ghost back protector only. All protectors are included — none are optional extras.

PEKEV® is a patented protective fibre developed by Resurgence Gear, built on UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene). It is 15 times more abrasion resistant than carbon steel. Unlike standard protective liners, PEKEV® does not degrade with washing, UV exposure, or chemical contact. The protection is permanent.

CE certification under EN 17092:2020 is the European and international standard for motorcycle protective clothing. Garments are tested for abrasion resistance, tear strength, seam strength, and protector placement. Classes range from A (entry-level) to AAA (maximum protection). All Resurgence Gear products are certified Class AA or AAA — tested and certified by Intertek or Satra.

AAA+ is not an official EN 17092 certification class — the highest official rating under the standard is AAA. When we use the term AAA+, we mean something specific: we go beyond what AAA requires.

EN 17092 AAA testing only evaluates Zone 1 impact areas. Many brands meet this rating by reinforcing Zone 1 alone. We don't stop there. In several of our AAA-certified products, we add an additional PEKEV® lining in Zone 1 — even though the test doesn't require it. We also extend PEKEV®
protection throughout the entire garment, including zones the test doesn't
measure.

AAA+ is our way of saying: certified to the highest official standard, and then some. The base certification is always CE AAA under EN 17092, independently verified. The "+" reflects our commitment to going further than required — because when you're building protection for real roads, the test is a floor, not a ceiling.

PEKEV® is the original full-strength construction used in the Cafe Racer Jeans as a complete inner lining. PEKEV® Lite is a thinner, lighter version used in the Warrior Jeans — optimized for warmer conditions. PEKEV® Ultra Lite is a single-layer construction where the protective fibre is the fabric itself — used in the Kingston Shirt, Rogue Jeans, Richmond Jacket, and Adelaide Fieldjacket.

Resurgence Gear jeans are sized in US waist measurements — your regular jeans size is your Resurgence size. Jeans are available in W30 through W42. Warrior and Cafe Racer jeans come in 32" and 34" inseam. The Rogue comes in 34" inseam only. If between sizes, size up for riding comfort.

Jackets and tops are sized by chest circumference from S (36–38") to 4XL (48–50"). All garments are designed to accommodate D3O® Ghost armour. If between sizes or planning to layer underneath, size up. The Portland jacket has a close-fitting cut — size up if in doubt. The Wellington hoodie runs slightly larger — select based on your chest measurement.

Always remove D3O® Ghost protectors before washing. Machine wash gentle cycle at 30°C / 86°F maximum. Do not tumble dry — hang to dry. Do not bleach or dry clean. PEKEV® protection is permanent and does not wash out.

Yes — all are waxed cotton garments. Spot clean only with a soft damp cloth. Do not machine wash. Re-wax periodically to maintain water resistance.

No. PEKEV® protection is built into the fibre itself — it does not degrade with repeated washing, UV exposure, or chemical contact. The protection is permanent for the life of the garment.
