Our Story
We didn't set out to build a motorcycle brand. We set out to solve a problem.
The problem was simple: motorcycle protective clothing was either safe or wearable. Not both. Lined jeans were stiff, heavy, and lost their protective properties after washing. Single-layer fabrics weren't strong enough. Nothing on the market did what it needed to do — protect you on the bike and look right everywhere after.
So we went back to the fibre.
A decade of research
One breaktrough.
Resurgence Gear was founded in Toronto, Canada in 2013. But the story starts earlier — with years of research into protective fibres and spinning techniques. Materials that failed. Materials that almost worked. And eventually, one that exceeded every standard we could throw at it.
We called it PEKEV®. A patented fibre built on UHMWPE — one of the strongest polymers ever developed. 15 times the abrasion resistance of carbon steel. Permanent protection that doesn't degrade in sun, water or wash out. And woven correctly, it feels like fabric. Not armour.

From the fibre
Everything else followed.
The first product was a pair of motorcycle jeans. Then came the Cafe Racer — our original selvedge denim riding jean, still one of our bestsellers. Then riding shirts. Hoodies. Waxed jackets. A rain system. A vest.
A wardrobe for riders who don't want to look like they're wearing gear.
Every product we make is CE certified to EN 17092:2020. Every product ships with D3O® Ghost armour included. No entry-level products. No compromises on protection. One standard — the highest.

This is all we do.
We don't make helmets. We don't make boots. We don't make gloves.
We make motorcycle apparel — jeans, jackets, hoodies, shirts, and vests — and we make it better than anyone else.
That focus is what got us here. It's what keeps us pushing.

Moto Reloaded – our canadian home
Resurgence Gear is a Canadian brand. But in recent years, the Canadian market had been left behind — underserved, underrepresented, and without the attention it deserved. The brand and its riders deserved better.
When the founder of Resurgence Gear offered us the opportunity to rebuild the brand in North America, we didn't hesitate. We're Barbara and Matthias Berger — and we know this brand well. We've spent years running Riderstyle Trading GmbH in Germany, building Resurgence Gear into one of Europe's most respected names in protective motorcycle apparel. Canada was the next chapter. We decided to make it ours.
Moto Reloaded Gear Inc. is our Canadian company — built to bring Resurgence Gear home. We handle everything: design direction, distribution, and customer service. And to do it properly, we're moving to Canada ourselves.
From Fall 2026, we'll have a physical home in Victoria, BC — our Canadian headquarters and a great Resurgence Gear retail experience. A place where you can try on every garment, talk to someone who rides, and leave properly protected.
