Why PEKEV® changes everything
Protection built into the fabric itself.
PEKEV® is built on UHMWPE — Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene — one of the toughest polymers ever developed. Through a decade of research into fibre spinning and weaving techniques, we developed a process that turns this material into a protective fabric that can be integrated directly into motorcycle apparel.
The result: a fibre that is 15 times more abrasion resistant than carbon steel. That doesn't degrade when wet. That retains its protective properties through repeated washing — indefinitely. That breathes. That flexes. That, in its Ultra Lite form, is virtually indistinguishable from regular fabric.
PEKEV® is a patented protective fibre developed by Resurgence Gear. It's the foundation of every garment we make — woven into jeans, jackets, hoodies, and shirts as an invisible protective layer that works every time you need it, and stays completely out of the way when you don't.
Most motorcycle protective clothing degrades. Liners lose strength when wet. Protection washes out over time. PEKEV® is different — the protection is in the fibre itself, not a coating added in manufacturing. It doesn't wash out because there's nothing to wash out.

PEKEV® Titan
BEYOND ABRASION — HEAT
EN 17092 measures abrasion. It says nothing about heat — yet a leg against a hot silencer at a standstill is the everyday version of the problem. PEKEV® Titan was tested separately to EN ISO 11612: 9.1 seconds against a 250 °C surface with no melting and no holing. Conventional synthetics melt. A fabric that melts into the skin turns a burn into a second injury.

Why it matters
Protection that doesn't fade.
Standard motorcycle protective liners are a separate layer sewn into a garment. That liner degrades. It absorbs water and loses tensile strength. UV exposure and sunlight break down the fibres over time. Detergents, fabric softeners, and everyday chemicals accelerate the process further. After hundreds of washes and a season in the sun, most protective liners are a fraction of what they were on day one — and most riders have no idea.
PEKEV® is different. The protection is in the fibre itself, not a coating added in manufacturing. It doesn't wash out. It doesn't degrade in sunlight. It's unaffected by water, detergents, and the chemicals of everyday life. Because protection that fades isn't protection.
15× the abrasion resistance of carbon steel. Permanent. Washable. Invisible.

INDEPENDENTLY CERTIFIED
Every garment. Every standard.
Every PEKEV® garment we sell is independently tested and certified to EN 17092:2020 — the European and international standard for motorcycle protective clothing. Testing is conducted by Intertek or Satra, two of the world's leading independent testing organizations.
EN 17092 defines three protection classes relevant to motorcycle riders:
EN 17092 divides a garment into three risk zones based on the likelihood of contact with the road in an accident. Zone 1 covers the highest-risk impact areas — shoulders, elbows, knees, and hips. Zone 2 covers the arms, back, and outer legs. Zone 3 covers lower-risk areas. Each zone is tested at a different speed on the Darmstadt abrasion machine, where the fabric is spun at speed and dropped onto a concrete surface. No hole larger than 5mm is permitted.
A
Entry-level protection. Fabric tested at up to 45 km/h on Zone 1. Suitable for low-speed urban riding.
AA
High protection. Fabric tested at up to 70 km/h on Zone 1. Suitable for touring and everyday road riding.
AAA
Maximum protection. Fabric tested at up to 120 km/h on Zone 1. The highest rating under EN 17092 — required for track use in FIM-governed racing events.
The test only measures Zone 1. Many brands meet the minimum by reinforcing Zone 1 alone — leaving Zone 2 and Zone 3 with little or no protective fibre. PEKEV® is woven into the entire garment. Every zone. Every seam. Protection you can't see, across every surface that could hit the road.
In our jeans, the PEKEV® lining runs from the waistband to the ankles — not just around the knees. In our jackets and shirts, PEKEV® Ultra Lite, PEKEV® Flex or PEKEV® Titan covers the entire garment body. And in many products, Zone 1 receives an additional PEKEV® reinforcement layer — not because the test requires it, but because it's the right thing to do.
Every figure we publish was measured after five wash cycles, not on fabric straight off the loom.
Protective fibres are expensive. Full-garment coverage costs more to produce than spot-reinforcement. That cost is reflected in our prices — and in the protection you get everywhere you fall, not just where the test looks.

Every garment. One standard.
THE ARMOUR
PEKEV® protects across the whole garment. The armour covers the impact points — and from 2027 every Resurgence piece ships with RE ZRO® Flat Level 2.
